Dino Prints

20111216-140108.jpgSometimes street art is seen as serious, political art. For some artists the streets are the best place to get across an important message.

But that’s not to say there’s no humor in street art. Even Banksy likes to offer his fans a laugh sometimes.

On a walk to a cafe one evening I stumbled upon this piece which I’d seen a few times but hadn’t photographed.

It’s really a small piece, off to the sidewalk right after you cross the street. It might be the city billions of years later but this artist thought it’d be funny to put dinosaur prints next to where us humans work. It’s clever and it’s an example of how street art, no matter the size, can be virtually anything you want – humorous or not.
